Cheeto is a Turkish Van we have had him for about 3 years now. He was the model for D'Artagnan. He is a great cat and always wants to be in a room with people. He will sit just out of arm's reach.
Willamina is a Tortie. She is the model for Merlot, Emily's companion. She had some health issues when we first rescued her. They messed up her spay and left one of her ovaries in. Had to take her to a different Vet to get things worked out. She is a scaredy cat and hides most of the time, but she is getting better and will now let us pick her up.
Gray Meowers is the friendliest cat I have ever met. He is the model for Strawberious' cat Eponine. He is sweet, fun, and full of energy. My son picked him out. Already had the name chosen before we found him, so we had to find a gray kitten.
Salem is our only Black cat. He was the basis for Thomas, Antoinette's companion. He is a great cat. and sleeps behind the monitors on my desk during the day. Had to put him in the book.
Barney is our oldest cat at 8. He is a rescue. He is white with a few black spots and a black tail. He loot like the cat make ran out of white cat parts and finished him with a pair of black ears and an extra tail. Sweet cat. Every night he finds me, sits on me, hides his head in my elbow and purrs.
Don in the story is a bit of a high mileage cat. In real life that cat is Cheshire. She is also a rescue. No front claws, missing a fang. Almost as old as Barney. She will chase me each morning when I get up an meow at me until I pet her.
Cloud is a great story. My Son and I heard a cat meowing in our front yard and assumed it was one of ours. We try to keep the cat in the house for their safety. We told my daughter and we all went to look, but the meowing stopped, and we were unable to find the cat. My son and I went back to playing Minecraft. However, my daughter never gave up stating that the meow was not from one of our cats. She searched for most of the day following the kitten under our house and under our neighbor's shed. We have a humane trap we keep for racoons and she pulled it from the garage and put some food in it and left it out for the kitten. She watched the trap a tiny cloud wen into eat, but he was too lite to trigger the trap. So she had to sneak up and trigger it with her finger. We took him to the vet and he is a wonderful cat. We never found his litter mates or his mother. The vet said he was on the brink of starvation and thought given his young age he must have been orphaned. He is a happy, chubby cat now, and never stops eating.
We do not currently share our house with a Maine coon. So I dont have an image of one of our cats. I had to buy this image from a site and edit it.
We don't have a Munchkin either. I would happily rescue one if it needed a home. Our latest rescue was a Tonkinese, Snowball, and he's great too.
